The hamster that jumped into a microwave
Around and round the hamster goes,
Followed by the cat,
The hamster breaking that and this,
The pussy this and that:
Up and down the curtains,
In and out the chest of drawers -
The crashing and the smashing
And the slamming of the doors.
Skidding across floorboards,
Up and down the stairs,
Over bed and basket,
Underneath the chairs.
The hamster spies a refuge
That looks white and bright and warm,
Jumps into its safety,
Then pulls closed the door.
The cat stares through the window.
The hamster pulls a face.
The cat looks back and whispers,
“You have run your final race.”
His paw touches a button.
It makes a beeping sound.
A light shines on the hamster.
It starts to spin around.
The box is nice and cosy,
Quite warm if truth be told.
The cat stands back and waits
For tiny hamster to explode.
Stinky Blankie
Stinky Blankie
Old and manky
Makes me happy
When me cranky
Smells like sicky
Warm and sticky
Feels so nice
To licky licky
Bits of snotty
Soft and grotty
Sometimes wet
When dipped in potty
Dirty grey-ey
Worn away-ey
Munch it, suck it
Ends all fray-ey
Clawed by moggy
Bit by doggy
Some of it
Be very soggy
Seems quite mucky
You say yucky
Favourite thing
For sucky sucky
Little squirmy
Wormy wormy
Have a taste
And make it germy
Drop in muddy
My best buddy
Mummy wash
In soapy suddy
In the sinky
No more stinky
Me no like it
Me no thinky
On the liney
Sunny shiny
Blankie no no
Feel like miney
Me want Blankie
Smelling manky
You made clean
And me no thanky
Me feel hurty
Me like dirty
No enjoy
My birthday thirty |

Caterpillar
Fifty things to do with a hairy caterpillar:
Wear it as a moustache.
Keep it in a glass.
Clean your nails with it.
See where it will fit.
Cook it in a pie.
See how far it flies.
Feed it to your cat.
Feed it till it’s fat.
Keep it as a pet.
Take it to your vet.
Put it in a race.
Send it up in space.
Cut it right in half.
Teach it how to laugh.
Make it eat some poo.
Stick it down with glue.
Poke it with a stick.
Cover it in sick.
Let it watch the telly.
Place it on your belly.
Turn it upside down.
Take it out to town.
Stretch it really long.
Sing it a sad song.
Let it see your bum.
Show it to your mum.
Polish up your shoes.
Get it on the news.
Squash it with a hammer.
Teach it goodly grammar.
Carry it to school.
Throw it in a pool.
Let it in at night.
Ask it for a fight.
Drink it in your tea.
Charge it a small fee.
Roll it down a hill.
Stand it really still.
Cover it in spots.
Love it lots and lots.
Shave its whiskers off.
Give it a bad cough.
Get it a soul mate.
Let it stay up late.
Keep it in the dark.
Keep it in the park.
Dress it in a dress.
Teach it to play chess.
Or watch it float on high
As a lovely butterfly.
